GORILLAS LAND

Kansas City Zoological Park (also known as Kansas City Zoo),  which was founded in 1909, is a 202 acres (82 ha) zoo located in Swope Park, the 29th largest municipal park in the United States at 6800 Zoo Drive Kansas City, Missouri. It is home to more than 1300 animals and is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). The zoo is divided into five areas of the following themes: Africa, Australia, Tiger Trail, KidZone, and The Valley. The first gorilla at Kansas City Zoo, named Big Man, was a male who arrived in July 1958 directly from Cameroon. He was the sire of the first baby gorilla, a hand raised female born in 1967 that survived for 9 days.
