The Saint Louis Zoological Park, commonly known as the St. Louis Zoo, is a zoo in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. It is recognized as a leading zoo in animal management, research, conservation, and education. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and has an expansion of 36 hectare, where they hold 19000 animals of 655 different species, including wallabies, capybara, orangutan, bears or farm animals between many others. A three years old male named Bobby arrived to Saint Louis Zoo in January 1950 from Africa, becoming the first ever gorilla at the park. Trudy (Little Rock) and Rudy* were the parents of the first baby gorilla born at this zoological institution, which was a succesfull one: Mzuri, a female born in October 1966.
